Tea tree oil contains Terpinen-4-ol, the main therapeutic component that gives tea tree oil its antimicrobial and skin-clearing properties.

Topical use:

As a skin treatment, tea tree oil soothes and relieves dry and itchy skin, can reduce dark spots and blackheads and contribute as a treatment for acne. With its nice smell, it controls body odor.

As a hair treatment, tea tree oil helps in hair growth and reduces dandruff. It also helps treat dry scalps. As a nail treatment, tea tree oil helps hydrating the nails and cuticles.

Tea tree oil is also known to act as a natural bug repellant and helps freshen indoor air and supports focus and mental clarity. For aromatherapy treatment you can place a few drops of tea tree oil in a room diffuser with water to help you relax.

Topical:

Hair treatment

Mix a few drops of tea tree oil into regular shampoo and wash hair as normal.

Skin treatment

Mix 1 or 2 drops of tea tree oil with 12 drops of carrier oil (coconut oil, jojoba oil or almond oil) For the face, add 4 drops of tea tree oil to a half cup of water. Apply to the face with a cotton pad once daily.

Nail treatment

Add two drops of tea tree oil into a carrier of oil or water and apply it to your nail and cuticle.

Aromatherapy:
Add 2–4 drops to a diffuser with water or add 3-5 drops to a warm bath and breath in its healing vapers while you relax.
